Privacy Policy

You can use the word finder, word lists, strategy pages, and Daily Challenge without signing up. The Daily Challenge uses a random anonymous identifier stored in your browser; it is not linked to an email or real name.

• Daily Challenge results: puzzle date, puzzle type, your answer, server-recomputed score, and the display name you choose.
• Browser storage: an anonymous player ID, a local secret used to prove ownership of your leaderboard entries, language preference, and your puzzle history. These stay on your device except for the player ID and display name that appear on the public leaderboard.
• Standard request logs: IP address, user agent, and similar metadata kept by our hosting provider for abuse prevention and reliability.
• Uploaded board images: if you upload a board photo, it is processed to extract letters and is not retained after processing.

Scrubble uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Scrubble may also display ads served by Google AdSense. These services set their own cookies and may collect data according to their own policies. You can control ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.

The Daily Challenge leaderboard is public and shows display name (if any), score, answer, and submission time. Do not put personal information in your display name.

Only the holder of your local player secret can change the display name on your past entries.

Daily Challenge entries are retained to power the leaderboard and streaks. To detach your device from your entries, clear your browser storage for this site. To request removal of specific entries, contact us via the link below.

Scrubble is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
